Catching up with Friends...

Today we had the chance to see our friends the Beemers from San Antonio. We saw Warren a few months ago but it's been way too long since we've seen Susan and the girls. We love spending time with them. Their family means so much to us. We were able to hear Warren speak at Mt Olive PH Church today and then eat lunch with them too. Here are a few pics of our kids, they act like they have never been apart from each other!! Susan and Warren have just started a new ministry 3DG Ministry and we pray that God will do awesome things through them and their new ministry!!

Happy Thanksgiving

We spent thanksgiving this year in Alabama... the boys got to spend alot of time with their cousins, whom they haven't seen in over a year. When they get together it's like they haven't been apart. Caleb is 9 now and Jaida is almost 5. While we were there, Miss Jaida decided to shave her legs....SHE IS 4. I thought Jon's mom would have a heart attack. She told Jaida that it would all grow back and probably more and Jaida's reply was "well then I'll just shave them again"!! That girl is a hoot, her and Cade are definately related. Coley and Caleb are alot alike too, the both love sports and always get along great! We sure do miss spending time with them!

Flat Stanley

Cade had a school project where he had to take Flat Stanley on an adventure with him durning the Thanksgiving holiday. Jon's mom just ate this up b/c she is a kindergarten teacher. So we took pictures of Flat Stanley everywhere we went while we were in Alabama. Another great thing happened while we were in Alabama.....they beat Auburn!!! Woo hoo...that makes them 12-0 going into the SEC Championship, let me just say that was a great day for Jon!!

Coley turns 11

Coley turned 11 on November 20th...man does time fly! He is becoming a fine young man and we are extremely proud of him. We love you Coley!

Alabama beats LSU!!

Alabama went into Tiger country this past Saturday and beat LSU 27-21. Although they still have 2 more games to play, they are going to play Florida in the SEC Championship!! We have some people at our church who are huge Florida fans...I can see Mrs. Amy doing the gator chomp at us now! Hopefully Alabama will win the next two games and keep the #1 spot. I know Jon has been a happy man these past 10 or 11 weeks!!! Roll Tide Roll!!

Cardboard Testimonies

http://www.yourchurch.com/cardboard-testimonies/
A Church did a drama just like this at camp meeting this past summer and it gave me the chills! It's a very moving drama. Any church/organization can do it w/ their own church family and move anyone to tears. Check out this link!

We need your help!

On November 15th, Coley and I will be doing the Ribbon Walk for Cancer in Fayetteville. Coley's S.W.A.T. teacher (Servants With A Testimony) at church has breast cancer for the 2nd time. She has never let cancer get in the way of anything she does for the Lord. She works harder than anyone I have ever seen for our young people. She picks them up on the van every Sunday and Wednesday. She teaches them dramas to do at church and talent. She is a walking example of how we should always put our trust and faith in Jesus Christ!

We need your support for the walk. If you can help in any way, thank you!!! If not, we would appreciate your prayers for us do get lots of donations for the cure for cancer and also for Mrs. Mary Helen Baggett's(Coley's teacher) complete healing. If you want to help us out w/ a monetary gift, please email me and I will give you the details @ wife2pj@yahoo.com
God Bless

Toby Mac Concert

We took Coley to see Toby Mac tonight at the State Fair as an early birthday present. It was awesome, probably one of the best concerts we have been to. Halfway through the concert, Toby Mac walked off the stage and right down the isle of chairs in front of us. He gave Coley a high five! Coley was stoked from there on out. He said he would never wash that hand again, but I beg to differ!! We all had a great time!! After the concert we got to meet the keyboard guy, Dave! Toby Mac is really solid in his faith! Hopefully we will be able to see him in concert again, really soon! If you get a chance, don't miss out on it!

NC State Fair

We went to the NC State Fair today. It was freezing cold, but we still had a good time. Coley took a little friend with him, Madison. Cade took Janna (lol). We ran into several people from Greenville, Donnie, April and Grace Anne Hardee...

Richard, Katina, Reid and Raegan Williams, Greg, Christy, Ashlyn and Chandler Poythress. It's wild that you go to another city to see friends show up! We didn't eat a whole lot, Jon did have to get his cotton candy...but other than that we had a great time!!!

Girl crazy...

This is what Cade was doing during Coley's baseball game tonight!!!! Maddie is neighbors w/ my parents and her and Cade have always played good together. My sister took a picture of them kissing about 3 years ago and Maddie has it in her bedroom. She still tells everyone that Cade was her "first kiss"!! They are both a mess. She told Cade to put on her make up and told him how to do it. She said he did a good job. He's on the right track...following a woman's orders!!

First Time for Everything...

Jon finally let Coley cut the grass for the first time the other week. He did pretty good for his first time. He had a blast, although he wouldn't let anyone know that. Cade and I were peeping through the blinds watching him and he was just a singing on the lawn mower. Hopefully this will be the start of something to last for a long time. Jon loves working outside and so do I. I hope both boys will grow up loving the outdoors.

Palm Springs, CA

The 2nd week of September, Jon and I had the priveledge to go to Palm Springs, California for his Annual CEM Advance. What that is, is where all the CEM Directors from all over the USA come together to talk about different thing like Talent Quest, Youthquest, etc. Well Palm Springs is absolutely gorgeuos. There is palm trees everywhere. The only place you see grass is at the golf courses...and they are everywhere. The 2nd day we were there we played golf at the Indian Wells Celebrity Golf Course. The PGA Skins Tournament will be held there this year, so we couldn't pass up the opportunity to play. We had a blast. Needless to say we didn't play that well, but we still had fun. I was taking pictures more than I was hitting the golf ball because the scenery was just beautiful. I don't know if we will ever make it back there, but we had a blast. The last day we were there a thunderstorm came. All wind, no rain. I was in the in hotel room and had the blinds shut b/c I was reading and heard this loud roar and thought it was the air conditioning, but it kept on so I looked outside and was horrified. The once beautiful mountians in our view were all hidden behind the dust. It lasted about an hour. We also had a view of the biggest pool area I have ever seen. While the windstorm was happening...all the pool boys were jumping in the pool rescuing the pool chairs and towels that were blown in. It was unreal. Hope we make it back another time, but we will definately bring the boys with us next time!
